Mobile Loaves Twin Cities is made up of passionate, dedicated volunteers working 6 days/week, 52 weeks/year to prepare and deliver meals and supplies to those in need. Based at St. Joan of Arc in Minneapolis, we are a solely volunteer-driven 501c3 non-profit corporation with no paid staff. We rely on generous donations from other community members and local businesses to serve our mission.
Not only do we provide meals to the hungry, but supplies as well. This includes hygiene products such as toothpaste and shampoo and clothing like warm mitten and socks for the winters. All of these are prepared and loaded onto our food truck and distributed within the metropolitan area.
In 2024, we were able to serve 50,000 meals to children and adults living in poverty, some of whom are homeless. We averaged about 4,500 meals a month at over 20 different locations in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Richfield, and Bloomington.
Below, you can find some testimonies of lives touched by your donations.
- Larry suffers from mental illness and is homeless in downtown Minneapolis. He comes to our truck for a warm meal. Larry told us, “People don’t even see me on the street as I ask for help. They walk on by as if I’m not there. But you talk to me like I’m a real person. God bless you.” You are helping provide Larry dignity along with a warm dinner, socks and gloves.
- Mary is a 25-30 year old homeless woman who lives near Lake Street. Her bike is her primary possession. We give her extra shampoo, toothpaste and other toiletries when she stops by. The gas station is her bathroom. You help provide Mary with the supplies she needs in order to help her save the money she needs to survive.
